Your data, in plain language

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Bloomfall handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you when you play the game or visit this website.

Effective July 9, 2026

1. Scope and who we are

Bloomfall is an independent iPhone game operated by its developer (referred to as “Bloomfall,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy applies to the Bloomfall mobile game and this Bloomfall website. It does not cover third-party services that have their own privacy policies.

2. Information kept on your device

Bloomfall stores information needed to remember your local profile, settings, and personal top scores directly on your device. This can include:

  • the first name or nickname you enter;
  • your selected gardener, sound, music, level, and speed settings;
  • personal top scores for your selected starting level and speed; and
  • technical flags used to prevent duplicate actions and remember your choices.

The current public experience does not require a Bloomfall account. Your profile name and personal top scores are not uploaded to a Bloomfall-operated account service. You can remove this local data by deleting the app.

3. Gameplay analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand whether the game works well and where players have difficulty. Bloomfall sends events such as screens viewed, game and level starts and finishes, score and level outcomes, run duration, pause and resume activity, broad capsule-use and combo information, and sound or music setting changes.

Bloomfall’s custom analytics events are designed not to include your name, email address, Game Center identifier, Bloomfall player identifier, selected avatar, or game random seed. Firebase may still automatically process an app-instance identifier, session statistics, approximate location, and device and operating-system information. Google describes this default collection in its Analytics data collection documentation.

4. Crash reports and diagnostics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix crashes. A crash report can include the time of the crash, app version, device model, operating-system version, crash stack trace, available memory and storage, installation identifiers, and limited gameplay context such as the current screen, game mode, level, speed, status, run duration, levels completed, capsule-use range, and highest combo. We do not set your name or email address as a Crashlytics user identity.

Google states that Crashlytics retains crash stack traces and related installation identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal. More detail is available in Firebase Privacy and Security.

5. Advertising

Bloomfall uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to show banner ads during play and interstitial ads before a retry or the next stage. In order to request, deliver, measure, limit fraud, and improve ads, Google and participating advertising partners may process information such as your IP address (which can estimate general location), device or app-scoped identifiers, device and performance information, ads shown, ad clicks, and other product interactions.

Depending on your region, device settings, consent choices, and ad availability, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or contextual. Google provides more detail in its Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure and explanation of data used by partner apps. You may also have privacy controls in an ad, in iOS settings, or through choices presented in your region.

We do not provide Google with the first name or nickname saved in Bloomfall. We do not sell a list of player names or contact details. Some privacy laws use broad definitions of “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising that may cover certain advertising disclosures even when money is not exchanged for personal information.

6. This website

This website does not currently offer accounts, forms, or a mailing list, and we have not added a separate website analytics tool. Like most hosted websites, our hosting and security providers may automatically process basic request information—such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, and request time—to deliver the site, maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors.

7. How information is used and shared

We use information described in this policy to:

  • run the game and remember your choices;
  • measure gameplay, improve balance, and develop features;
  • diagnose crashes, bugs, fraud, abuse, and security problems;
  • deliver and measure advertising; and
  • comply with law and protect users, Bloomfall, and others.

Information is shared only as needed with service providers that support those purposes, principally Google for Firebase and AdMob, Apple for app distribution and device services, and the providers that host and secure this website. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy notices. We may also disclose information if required by law, to address fraud or security, or as part of a business transfer involving Bloomfall.

8. Retention and security

Local game data remains on your device until it is reset, overwritten, or the app is deleted. Third-party analytics, crash, advertising, and hosting providers retain information according to their settings and policies. We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, legal, and operational needs.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to an independent mobile game, but no device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

You can delete local Bloomfall data by deleting the app, adjust available game settings, use iOS privacy and advertising controls, and use any privacy controls shown by an ad provider. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information, and to appeal or complain to a data-protection authority.

Because Bloomfall does not currently require an account and does not attach custom analytics to your name, we may not be able to identify analytics or advertising records as belonging to you. We will explain what we can do if you submit a request.

10. Children

Bloomfall is not designed to collect contact information from children. If you are not old enough to consent to data processing in your country, use Bloomfall only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If a parent or guardian believes a child provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11. International processing

Google, Apple, and our hosting providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live. Where required, service providers use recognized safeguards for international data transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Bloomfall changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when we make changes. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will provide additional notice where reasonably practical or legally required.
